Welcome to Creative Homeschool Core

I feel like the first post on the new blog calls for a bit of an introduction!

My name is Marissa, and I am so happy you are here!

I have always firmly believed that personal growth comes from stepping outside of your comfort zone. During the first 20 years of my career, I did my best to live up to this by jumping at opportunities to teach a wide variety of grades and programs. I have spent time teaching almost every grade from 2-9, worked as an arts integration specialist, taught an outdoor learning program, and even worked as our district’s literacy specialist for a few years.

I have always loved stretching my creative muscles through curriculum creation, and have been selling my resources on TPT since 2011. In 2021, I made the hard choice to leave the classroom to focus on my business full time.

In January 2023, the Creative Classroom Core community expanded to include Creative Homeschool Core, and we opened our Etsy shop. I am so excited to be able to connect directly with homeschool educators on this blog, and help support you and the unique needs that come along with the homeschool experience.
